Jira Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a JIRA and Confluence Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our Atlassian tools. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of both JIRA and Confluence, ensuring they effectively meet the needs of our users and support our business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Configure JIRA projects, workflows, boards, and custom fields.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track project progress and team performance.
• Automate workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to JIRA users.

Confluence:

• Create and manage Confluence spaces and pages for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Establish and enforce best practices for content creation and organization.
• Integrate Confluence with other applications and tools.
• Administer user access and permissions for Confluence.
• Provide support to Confluence users.

General:

• Stay up-to-date on the latest features and functionalities of JIRA and Confluence.
• Identify opportunities to improve the user experience and optimize the use of both tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Document processes and procedures related to JIRA and Confluence administration.
• Perform system backups and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a JIRA and/or Confluence administrator (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and APIs (a plus)
